As we all get ready for the holiday season, including this month’s Halloween festivities, here’s another Montana Home Inspection Tip: Check your house exterior walls, siding, shutters, soffit, fascia and trim for any paint that is wearing off or was damaged in a previous summer storm.
Any exposed wood or other painted surface should be patched up with fresh paint. As soon as the colder weather of winter comes, you won’t be able to paint properly in the cold weather. Once painted wood and other surfaces loose their protective paint layer, the damage starts to grow exponentially, costing more than just a paint patch up session.
